Exhibition of Tapestries of Art Works by Artists with Disabilities

Since 2022, Kyocera has exhibited tapestries in the staff cafeteria at its head office building. The works feature images of pieces by artists with disabilities. The tapestries were created by Kyocera after the purchase of works exhibited at the Kyoto Archive of Art by People with Disabilities, a project promoted by the Kyoto Culture and Art Promotion Organization for People with Disabilities. This project has been implemented to promote the organization's activities via the Internet, etc., and expand opportunities for the display of artwork by these talented artists. In addition, the tapestries are combined with tapestries created by Kyoto Prefecture and exhibited annually at the Kyocera Gallery.

These included the Kyoto Governor Award, the Kyoto Prefecture Mother, Child and Window Welfare Association President Award, and the Kyocera Award.

Management of the Fushimi Ward Kodomo Kyoiku Shokudo

Kyocera began managing the Fushimi Ward Kodomo Kyoiku Shokudo in May 2023. This project is designed to provide children in Kyoto City's Fushimi Ward with appetizing after-school meals and opportunities to interact with others. Approximately 1,000 students from two local elementary schools are eligible to sign up in advance for after-school meals at one of about 20 restaurants that have registered as Kodomo Shokudo (kid's cafeterias). In addition, Kyocera and Kyoto Bunkyo University (Uji City, Kyoto) work in collaboration with local shopping districts to provide meals to and watch over children. The overall goal of this project is to ensure a healthy future generation and a bright future for society. Moreover, Kyocera works in close cooperation with Kyoto Bunkyo University to provide childcare support through opportunities for parents to learn and interact with others.
