Kyocera's multilayer ceramic technology enables the creation of microfluidic channels within a ceramic structure, providing unique functionality for gas-sensing devices.
Features

Three-dimensional structures are created by laminating thin sheets of ceramic. This technology allows Kyocera to form microfluidic channels in multilayer ceramic packages designed to meet your requirements. Please contact us for details.
Concept 1

Packages and lids are manufactured separately to facilitate microfluidic channel formation. As a result, the sensing elements can be placed in the flow channel, integrating gas-sensing functionality within the package that protects the devices.
Applications: gas sensing, odor sensing, and more.
Concept 2

Microfluidic channels can be created to connect multiple cavities. Application: differential pressure sensing.
