    • Quartz

      Quartz is one of the most abundant minerals found in the earth's crust. Small grained crystals are collected as a result of mixing with gravel at the bottom of rivers. It is also mined from cavity in rocks. Quartz has a wide range of clarity from high to low. Besides jewelry, it is used for clock vibrators, medical lasers, detergents, and potteries.

    • Quartz Cat's Eye

      The "eye" of the quartz cat's eye is caused by the parallel arrangement of fibrous inclusions such as asbestos and rutile. It is also called "occidental cat's eye" which is mainly produced in Sri Lanka while chrysoberyl cat's eye is called "oriental cat's eye."
