Why does Kyocera focus on
gemstones and jewelry?
"Jewels enrich the heart of humanity."
What is a life of abundance? We believe that enriching the heart is more essential to happiness than accumulating possessions.
However, very few people have had the opportunity to see truly brilliant jewels, because gemstones often command very high prices even when they are not perfectly beautiful.
"Our goal is to enrich hearts in these modern days of abundance."
Crescent Vert embodies this belief of Kazuo Inamori, founder of Kyocera.
1975Successfully developed emeralds
Crystallizing gemstones requires a totally different process from that of crystallizing ceramics. Starting with emeralds, Kyocera devoted decades of research into growing various gems, and now produces 13 distinct gemstones.
1990Successfully developed Kyoto Opal
Our production team reimagined the beauty and charm of opal with the game-changing idea to infuse color into the stones. Kyoto Opal – known as colored opal – preserves the amazing play-of-color found in natural opal while adding an array of fascinating color options.
1996Acquired ISO9002 Certification
Kyocera is the first company in the Japanese jewelry industry to obtain ISO certification for its quality control systems.
We also obtained ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications for environmental control systems in 1997.
2017Exhibited in global jewelry shows
Increasing interest in our domestic online shop told us it was time to expand our horizons. Our first step in bringing the joy of high-quality gemstones to people worldwide was exhibiting in jewelry shows in Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Paris.
TodayWe grow new possibilities with you.
We’re not in this to make look-alikes. Our goal is to provide real jewels that possess breathtaking sparkle and color.
By refusing to compromise, we continue our technological quest to deliver genuine riches to the people of the world.
When you partner with Kyocera, we will support you with this mutual vision. We will customize our products to help you refine and add value to your brand.
Kyocera was founded in 1959 by Dr. Kazuo Inamori and 28 colleagues who shared a vision of creating a company dedicated to manufacturing high-tech products based on ceramic materials and components.
