1975Successfully developed emeralds
Crystallizing gemstones requires a totally different process from that of crystallizing ceramics. Starting with emeralds, Kyocera devoted decades of research into growing various gems, and now produces 13 distinct gemstones.
1990Successfully developed Kyoto Opal
Our production team reimagined the beauty and charm of opal with the game-changing idea to infuse color into the stones. Kyoto Opal – known as colored opal – preserves the amazing play-of-color found in natural opal while adding an array of fascinating color options.
1996Acquired ISO9002 Certification
Kyocera is the first company in the Japanese jewelry industry to obtain ISO certification for its quality control systems.
We also obtained ISO9001 and ISO1400 certifications for environmental control systems in 1997.
2017Exhibited in global jewelry shows
Increasing interest in our domestic online shop told us it was time to expand our horizons. Our first step in bringing the joy of high-quality gemstones to people worldwide was exhibiting in jewelry shows in Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Paris.
