In Case You Missed It: CES 2025 Report

Welcome to the electrifying world of CES, where innovation meets imagination! Since the first Consumer Electronics Show in 1967 in New York City, CES has been the world’s leading technology conference bringing together tech visionaries and enthusiasts from around the world! What started as a small offshoot of the Chicago Music Show has grown into a global spectacle held each January in Las Vegas. Throughout its history, CES has been the launchpad for groundbreaking consumer technologies, such as personal computers and CD players, to more recently evolving technologies and concepts like smart city innovations, autonomous driving technologies, and AI.

This year, Kyocera made our grand return to the CES show floor after our last appearance in 2020, joining forces in a full power Kyocera Group booth with Kyocera AVX Components Corporation in the West Hall's Vehicle Tech and Advanced Mobility Zone. Our theme? "Technology advancing mobility, for engineers driving the World forward." And did we ever deliver! Attendees were treated to a dazzling array of cutting-edge technologies being developed out of Japan and other global innovation hubs, including our High-Definition Aerial Display which makes it look like a image is floating in front of a screen, the AI-Based Depth Sensor with world-record resolution for measuring extremely small and shiny or semi-transparent objects, Underwater Wireless Optical Communication that will revolutionize ocean exploration, Contactless Intelligent Millimeter-Wave Sensing System for medical and autonomous driving applications, a Camera-LIDAR Fusion Sensor solution, and the finally the innovative Bifocal Mirror which was introduced for the first time outside of Japan at CES.

Meanwhile, Kyocera AVX showcased its vast array of advanced components designed to power the next generation of tech across various industries. From Antennas and Multilayer Ceramic Capacitors (MLCC) to Tantalum capacitors, Polymer capacitors, Aluminum electrolytic chip capacitors, Film capacitors, Supercapacitors, Connectors, and Sensing and control products, their offerings were a testament to the endless possibilities that lie ahead.

At Kyocera, we don't just celebrate engineers; we thoroughly believe they’re the visionaries and masterminds propelling us into a better future. This year at CES we were thrilled to be right there with them on the CES show floor in Las Vegas, pushing the boundaries of what's possible. So, here's to the wizards of innovation and the dreamers of tomorrow—let's keep shaping the world, one groundbreaking idea at a time!
