Even though CES 2026 has officially wrapped, the energy of the show is still with us. It was an incredible week of forward-thinking ideas and conversations that made everyone here at Kyocera excited for the future.

The entire Kyocera Group—including our teams from Kyocera Corporation, KYOCERA AVX, and Kyocera Document Solutions—returned to the show floor in Las Vegas this year. From our booth in the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall's “Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility” zone, we showcased the concepts we believe will define the next wave of innovation for mobility and beyond. For those who couldn't attend, here is a summary of the key technologies we introduced.

Underwater Wireless Optical Communication (UWOC)

What if we could bring high-speed internet to the deep sea? That’s the question we are working on solving with UWOC technology. At CES, we shared our work on a system that uses light to transmit data through water at 5Gbps. We hope this technology can help unlock new possibilities for marine research, such as streaming real-time HD video from an AUV exploring the ocean floor.

Phased Array Antenna Module (PAAM)

Our Phase Array technology is about exploring a future where the network itself is a sensor. This module, using Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), can simultaneously deliver data and perceive its environment. Imagine a 6G connection that doesn't just connect your car but helps it "see" around corners. This technology could accelerate developments in fields ranging from autonomous driving to environmental sensing.

OPTINITY® Optoelectronic Integrated Module

The growth of Generative AI presents an exciting challenge: how do we manage the massive amounts of data required? This optoelectronic module is one of our contributions to the solution, converting electrical PCIe signals to light to help double bandwidth and make data centers more energy efficient.

Cotopat - Real-Time Interactive Caption Display System

Making its U.S. debut, Cotopat reflects our dream of making communication more accessible for everyone. By displaying spoken words as text on a clear screen, this simple tool is designed to help break down language barriers in face-to-face settings, such as government offices and service counters.

The Building Blocks of Innovation: Advanced Components from KYOCERA AVX

Alongside the above developing technologies, under our KYOCERA AVX brand, we showcased the advanced electronic components that are the fundamental building blocks for all next-generation technology. The extensive portfolio of capacitors, connectors, and sensors was a powerful reminder that every great innovation is built on a foundation of brilliant, reliable hardware. Through KYOCERA AVX products, Kyocera Group is committed to driving progress at every level—from foundational components to complete solutions.

Let's keep the conversation going in 2026

CES is a powerful reminder that progress is a collective effort. We believe engineers are at the heart of that progress, and our hope was not just to showcase our work but to spark new ideas and learn from others. The insights we gained from speaking with fellow innovators on the show floor in Vegas are invaluable.

We're excited to see what we can all build together. Let's continue shaping what's possible in 2026.
