On October 1, 2024, we took a proactive stance in the fight against climate change by switching all electricity used at our Kyoto headquarters to renewable energy and beginning to procure and supply our own. This bold move is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 2,000 tons per year.

Since last year, Kyocera has been actively involved in the procurement and supply of its own electricity. Now, we are taking our commitment to transparency to the next level by implementing the 'traceability' system. This system ensures that we know exactly where our electricity comes from, enabling us to achieve 'total supply'-a state where all our facility's electricity is sourced from renewable energy.

Our dedication to sustainability extends beyond our Kyoto headquarters. We are committed to expanding the use of renewable energy across our plants, offices, and sales branches nationwide. Our goal is ambitious-to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050!
