Words that encouraged me when I doubted myself
Even before taking on a project, there was always a part of me that felt I couldn't do it. So, when I tackled the major challenge of developing a drum system with the market's longest service life* that was designed to reduce waste to an absolute minimum, what supported me was the Philosophy of “Project Our Abilities into the Future.” It means that even if your current self can’t do something, keep working steadily, and your future self will surely have the ability. Whenever I was in doubt or hit a wall, those words encouraged me to move forward by thinking, “Let's start by giving it a try.” It's a matter of tackling each challenging task by taking a step-by-step, head-on approach. I really felt the importance of that in meeting the challenges that arose.

A breakthrough thanks
to being thankful
We faced numerous technical challenges in developing the system, including balancing durability with image quality. But when the going got tough, another important phrase from the Philosophy for me was “Be Thankful.” I felt thankful for my colleagues who worked alongside me and thankful to the customers using our products. That gratitude sustained me through the repeated trial-and-error process of testing and refinement. I feel that believing in myself while never forgetting to appreciate the people around me contributed to our ability to break through technical barriers, leading to achieving both the required environmental performance and economy for our product. Going forward, I would like to continue creating products that benefit society by focusing not only on our technology but also on the people it serves.
