We are proud to introduce a collaboration between Kyoto Prefecture and "art space co-jin," an organization dedicated to promoting Kyoto culture and art for people with disabilities. Through the project titled "The Kyoto Archive of Art by People with Disabilities," they are creating a digital archive of creative works of people with disabilities, making them available online for a broader audience and expanding opportunities for these works to be exhibited and utilized.
Since 2022, as part of our social outreach initiatives, Kyocera has displayed selected pieces from "The Kyoto Archive of Art by People with Disabilities" at our offices.
The Kyocera Gallery, located on the first floor of our global headquarters in Kyoto, Japan, has been hosting a special summer exhibition, "After Expression: The Kyoto Archive of Art by People with Disabilities," since Saturday, June 7, 2025.
This exhibition offers a rare opportunity to experience approximately 100 works by 23 artists archived at "art space co-jin," all showcased together in one venue. In addition, previously unreleased materials, videos, and artworks related to the creative process are being displayed ahead of their official release in the archive.
By preserving these unique forms of expression for future generations, we hope this exhibition will help foster and sustain creative activities for years to come.
