Some people start a business just to make money; others, to achieve a personal dream. However, the surest way to succeed and make customers happy is to start with virtuous intentions and unselfish motives.

Of course, a business must earn money. Making a profit is the only way to pay salaries and continue operating year after year. But the underlying motive for any new business project or venture should be unequivocally good, no matter who judges it.

If a business begins to focus on the leaders' personal gain instead of its core mission to help customers, that's when problems begin.
