Working toward this goal are members of our ADAS Tech R&D Lab who are developing the critical technologies needed for widespread expansion of autonomous driving: millimeter-wave radar, stereo cameras, LIDAR, AI recognition cameras, and more.
Not only could safe and secure autonomous driving reduce traffic accidents, but it could also contribute to solving various other social issues as well, such as providing reliable mobility in rural areas without public transportation infrastructure.
We spoke to engineers from the ADAS lab about their goals and vision for the future of autonomous driving.
