MWC showcases the latest innovations by telecom operators, network equipment manufacturers, technology developers, and content providers from more than 200 countries.

Under the theme "No Border, Go Bolder," Kyocera will present its Open RAN efforts toward eliminating "vendor lock-in," as well as its commitment to technological innovation through open platforms. Visitors to the Kyocera booth can experience the company's new 5G virtualized base station technology, which uses AI to reduce the cost of operating and maintaining telecoms infrastructure. Kyocera will also feature millimeter-wave solutions and will demonstrate a multi-beamforming Phased Array Antenna Module (PAAM).*1

Kyocera will establish the O-RU Alliance on March 3rd, 2025, to promote the widespread adoption of 5G Open RAN. A dedicated area will be set up at the Kyocera booth to display radio units (RU) from O-RU Alliance members. Additionally, Kyocera will showcase its wireless relay technology, which efficiently expands the millimeter-wave (28GHz band) communications coverage area. This technology, the world's first developed in December 2024*2 in collaboration with KDDI Corporation, is currently being tested as part of their joint efforts.
