People worldwide appreciate the miracle of solar energy.
Delivering Rays of Hope Globally
Combining the bounty of the sun with our vision and technology, Kyocera has raced ahead of the times to make the gift of solar energy available across the globe.
Donation of Solar Power Generating Systems to Villages Without Electricity
Kyocera has donated a number of solar power generating systems to villages in regions without electricity. The joy and hope this brings to people confirms the practicality of solar power generation and encourages us to develop additional useful technologies.
Donation to the Village of Kankoi, Pakistan
Kyocera donated a 6-kilowatt solar power generating system to supply the village with electricity in June 1983. The electricity powers indoor lighting, ceiling fans, street lights and communications equipment, and continues to support the people of the village today.
Schools require lighting, hospitals rely on electronic equipment, and electricity is also a necessity in the home. This is why Kyocera will continue to develop the products and technologies that serve the emerging needs of society.
Donation to Gansu Province, China
Kyocera donated a 10-kilowatt solar system to the village of Yuanzi in Gansu Province, China. Thousands of people attended the opening ceremony of this system which provides lighting to homes.
