The innovative "Camera-LiDAR Fusion Sensor" combines a camera and LiDAR to accelerate the development of an autonomous driving society.
This sensor integrates both a camera and LiDAR into a single lens, effectively eliminating data misalignment (parallax). As a result, it enables the real-time generation of highly precise 3D images, significantly enhancing its performance as an in-vehicle sensor. Additionally, Kyocera has addressed the conventional LiDAR's vulnerability to vibrations through its proprietary technology. By adopting vibration-resistant MEMS mirrors, the sensor achieves substantial improvements in durability and reliability.
Moreover, this sensor is expected to be applied not only in autonomous driving systems but also across various fields such as construction machinery, robotics, and security systems.
