Kyocera's Operational Status after the Earthquake in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan
We would like to send our deepest condolences to those affected by the earthquake that occurred in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, on July 28, 2026. We pray for the swiftest possible recovery for the region.
Regarding the impact of this earthquake on the Kyocera Group, the current status of Kyocera plants and offices around the region is as follows (as of 8:30 am on July 29).
In response to this situation, the Kyocera Group has established a Disaster Response Headquarters and is taking appropriate measures.
- Status of Employees
No employee injuries or other personnel-related incidents have been reported at Kyocera Group facilities, including plants and sales offices, located in the Kyushu region.
- Status of Production
At this time, no significant impact on production has been confirmed at the Kagoshima Sendai Plant or the Kagoshima Kirishima Plant.
Production operations are continuing, except in certain areas where safety and related inspections remain underway.
