Status Update on Cybersecurity Incident Affecting U.S. Subsidiary of Kyocera
As Kyocera Corporation ("the company") announced in the "Postponement of Financial Results Announcement for the Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2023 ("fiscal 2023")"(PDF)on April 25, 2023, KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation ("KAVX"), a U.S. subsidiary to Kyocera, recently experienced a cybersecurity incident.
The subsequent investigation has determined that the group responsible for this incident claimed to have accessed data from the KAVX network and threatened to post this data publicly. We have confirmed that no other systems of the company and the group companies had been affected. KAVX will continue to further investigate and respond to the details of this incident accordingly.
