Since its founding, Kyocera has based its operations on groups of coworkers who understand and trust one another. Rather than a vertical relationship of managers to workers, employees are bound by lateral partnerships, working toward the same goals and thereby realizing their individual dreams.

I credit our success to the fact that our operation is based on employees sharing the same aspirations and mindset, instead of the more common vertical relationship of power and authority.
