vast amounts of water for textiles,
and improving the environmental
impact of the fashion industry
is an urgent and global issue.
Wearing beautiful clothes
to protect beautiful water.
TRUE BLUE TEXTILE was developed
to achieve both of these goals.
We recreated the most beautiful body of water in Japan.
A new approach to fashion, where you can express
your views about the future just by wearing it.

Concept
Eliminating virtually all water usage
from fabric printing
Conventional garments usually consume
a large amount of water during
the dyeing process,
but TRUE BLUE TEXTILE is
a revolutionary textile developed
with Kyocera's water free concept
inkjet textile printer FOREARTH,
so beautiful textures are possible
while using dramatically less water than before.

True Blue Color
Representing the clear waters
of the Niyodo River
TRUE BLUE TEXTILE reproduces the Niyodo River
that flows through Kochi Prefecture.
Niyodo River has been selected eight times as
"the river with the highest quality water"
by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure,
Transport and Tourism,
and its beautiful blue color has been dubbed
"Niyodo Blue."
About the Niyodo River
Kochi Prefecture promotes sustainable tourism by making the most of its rich nature,
which is located next to the vast Pacific Ocean, and surrounded by mountains with the highest percentage of forests in Japan.
The Niyodo River boasts clear water and beautiful nature and attracts many nature-loving tourists.
Conserving the beauty of the water and the livelihood of the people living in the surrounding region is very important,
and through this "TRUE BLUE TEXTILE" project, we hope that many people will learn about
the fascinating nature of the Niyodo River and, at the same time,
provide an opportunity for people to reflect on the environment.
