In 1998, Kyocera decided that it was necessary to reduce environmental impacts in areas including product parts and material procurement of resource materials. The "Green Procurement" approach to select and procure environmentally friendly items was started in August 1998.
The Green Procurement policy and request for the enforcement of Green Procurement was finalized as the "Kyocera Green Procurement Guideline," and the activity has been promoted with the understanding and cooperation of our customers since December 1998.
The second edition was then published in July 2004, and further investigation and evaluation concerning environmental impacts have been conducted. The 7th edition was published in accordance with the latest legal regulations. The investigation and evaluation concerning the environmental impact of suppliers and purchased items is conducted based on this standard. |
