The 2021 Kyoto Prize Laureates Announced!

On June 18, the Inamori Foundation announced the 2021 Kyoto Prize laureates, Japan's highest private award for global achievement in the fields of science, technology, and the arts and philosophy.

Congratulations to this year's winners, Prof. Dr. Andrew Chi-Chih Yao (Advanced Technology), Prof. Dr. Robert G. Roeder (Basic Sciences), and Prof. em. Dr. Bruno Latour (Arts and Philosophy)!

Due to COVID-19, the Prize Presentation Ceremony and other related events in Kyoto have been canceled. However special lectures by the laureates will be delivered online in Fall 2021. They are also expected to convene in March 2022 for the annual Kyoto Prize Symposium in San Diego, U.S.A., and in May 2022 for the Kyoto Prize at Oxford events in Oxford, UK. Details will be announced on the Kyoto Prize website.
