Kyocera's Starts Construction on a New Smart Factory Manufacturing Facility to Promote Robotics and AI
Kyocera has started construction of a new facility in Shiga, Japan to develop the company's own production equipment and strengthen its use of robotics and AI in manufacturing.
"We are excited to welcome the new production facility here, in Shiga, which will contribute to our company's factory automation," said Yoshinobu Ozaki, Manager of the Shiga Yasu Plant.
The company aims to double productivity across all its business lines by reforming production processes and implementing robotics and AI solutions. The company held a groundbreaking ceremony in Japanese traditional style at the site. To see more from the ceremony, please scroll though the images.
