KYOCERA Completes Share Transfer with OPTREX Corporation, Making it a Wholly-Owned Subsidiary

Company name to become KYOCERA Display Corporation

Kyocera Corporation (President: Tetsuo Kuba) announced on December 27, 2011 that it would be acquiring all shares in Optrex Corporation. According to plan, as of February 1, 2012, all shares have been transferred and the company has become a wholly-owned subsidiary. An overview of the new subsidiary is provided below.

In order to further enhance recognition of its business in the global market, the company's name will change to KYOCERA Display Corporation — combining the Kyocera brand name along with a description of the subsidiary's main business — effective April 1, 2012.
