Kyocera Corporation (President: Makoto Kawamura) today announced the launch of the fully loaded BAUM straight-type mobile handset equipped with the electronic payment system, “Osaifu Keitai®,for the Willcom PHS market.

The BAUM design, which is modeled on the German-style Baumkuchen ringed layer cake motif, targets female customers using the Willcom Fixed-Rate Plan. The two-toned design on the side panel, circular navigation key, and the standby screen are all designed to resemble the ringed Baumkuchen cake. The handset comes in four color variations; white, pink, purple and black.

The BAUM model is fully equipped with the Osaifu Keitai® electronic payment system, 2 megapixel camera, and other basic features. With the Willcom Gadget and Favorites Menu features, the user can create their own original menu screen, allowing for a personalized and comfortable interface.
