Conceive Optimistically, Plan Pessimistically, and Execute Optimistically
In order to accomplish something new, it is most important to set extremely optimistic goals, born from hopes and dreams, by first imagining the ideal outcome.
In contrast, during the planning phase we must pessimistically re-examine our goal, while also being determined to accomplish it no matter what. We should try to identify all potential problems and carefully consider countermeasures for them.
Then in the execution phase, we should proceed optimistically and cheerfully confident that "We will succeed!"
