Establishment of Seiwajyuku Singapore Branch

Headed by Dr. Kazuo Inamori as its Jyukucho (Principal), Seiwajyuku is opening a branch in Singapore, and held an opening ceremony for it there on October 27. This event attracted about 300 business owners, consisting mainly of Singaporean students of Seiwajyuku. Also at the venue, representing the government of Singapore, was Mr. Heng Chee How, Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office.

The ceremony featured a video letter from Dr. Inamori, who urged the students to repeatedly study and practice the cardinal points of the management philosophy learned in Seiwajyuku. He said that he wanted them not only to lead their business to success but also to make a great contribution to Singapore's advancement through their enterprises. He concluded his message with words of strong encouragement for the students: "As long as I am able, I will support you in your efforts to earnestly study and practice the management philosophy, and to make your companies excellent!"

Since its founding in 1983, Seiwajyuku has spread not only within Japan but also in other countries. The overseas schools began with the establishment of one in Brazil in 1993, followed by others in the United States, China, and South Korea. The opening of the new school in Singapore increased the total number, inside and outside Japan, to 97 (consisting of 56 in Japan and 41 in other countries).
