1st International Symposium of the Ritsumeikan Inamori Philosophy Research Center Held
The 1st International Symposium of the Ritsumeikan Inamori Philosophy was held on March 4, 2016 at the Ritsumeikan University Ibaraki Campus. Over 180 participants attended, including researchers, students, business people from Japan and abroad.
The symposium was entitled "Inamori Philosophy Research and Its Future Development in Global Perspective" and introduced the vision and significance of the academic research and global development of Dr. Kazuo Inamori's management philosophy.
In the first session, Dr. Ikujiro Nonaka, Professor Emeritus at Hitotsubashi University gave a keynote lecture followed by research reports from four professors of Tokyo University, Ritsumeikan University and so on.
In the second session, researchers from the U.K., Singapore and the U.S. made presentations on the future development of the Inamori Philosophy from a global perspective, followed by a lively Q&A session.
Inamori is Director Emeritus of the Center. He attended the symposium, gave remarks and listened to the research presentations attentively.
