In Memorial: First Anniversary of Kazuo Inamori’s Passing

Throughout his life, Kazuo Inamori constantly looked ahead, focusing on the future and seeking new challenges daily.

He never feared any obstacle, and consistently made daring yet unwavering efforts in pursuing new ventures.
While Inamori loved and cared deeply for others, he also possessed the courage and conviction to stand firm against any great power whenever he believed that doing so was necessary to fulfill a righteous cause.

The Inamori Library is committed to passing his life principles on to new generations in the hope of inspiring others to view their work as a societal contribution "to the world and its people," and to dedicate themselves to altruistic endeavors with an enduring spirit of challenge.

Recreating Inamori's Executive Office

Starting today, August 24, 2023, in commemoration of the first anniversary of Inamori's passing, the 5th floor of the Inamori Library will showcase an exact replica of the office in Kyocera's headquarters where Inamori worked.

For approximately 24 years following the completion of Kyocera's current headquarters in 1998, Kazuo Inamori carried out his duties in this room.
Here, he conceptualized his management strategies and made key decisions that shaped the future of the company.

This exhibit faithfully recreates the office's simplicity and functionality, capturing Inamori's meticulous nature. Displayed are such items as the wall-mounted calligraphy that reads "Keiten Aijin" (Respect the Divine and Love People), which is attributed to Takamori Saigo and which hung in Inamori's office throughout his career, along with photographs from Kyocera's founding, books he referred to frequently, and workday documents on his desk.

We invite you to visit the Inamori Library and view this exhibit.

Introducing a Special Exhibit

"Kazuo Inamori's Way of Life: Elevate Your Mind and Expand Your Business"

On the occasion of the first anniversary of Kazuo Inamori's passing, and the reconstruction of his Kyocera business office within the Inamori Library, we have launched a special exhibit in the entrance space to help visitors grasp Inamori's way of life through his own iconic words.

Inamori believed that "words possess a spirit." He cherished words and spoke them carefully. We hope visitors can perceive Inamori's earnest attitude toward life and the values he held dear through the quotes on display.
Also on display are items from last year's "Kazuo Inamori Farewell Gathering," as well as news reports and feature articles published at the time of his passing.
