Being kind and considerate can also be described as being "altruistic." In other words, it means having a beautiful mind with the intent to serve others, even at personal sacrifice, rather than merely considering one's own interests. This is also the most important mindset to have in the world of business.

As the saying goes, "Kindness always returns to the giver." Acts of compassion and care will inevitably reap wonderful results in the long run, even if they seem self-sacrificing in the short term.
