The Principle of Profitability Improvement

The sixth principle is "Profitability Improvement." For a corporation, the mission of improving profitability is paramount.

From the inception of our company, I have implemented what is called "Amoeba Management," a system of small, independent profit centers. As the company grows rapidly, this approach involves dividing an expanding organization into smaller units, and enabling each unit to operate its business independently.

"Kyocera Accounting" and Amoeba Management serve as the two pillars of Kyocera's management system. All of our employees should be fully aware of their department's management objectives and their progress toward achieving them. They should also understand clearly what they must do to enhance profitability.
