Inamori graduates from Kagoshima University and officially joins Shofu Industries Company
Inamori begins developing new ceramics.
Inamori becomes the first in Japan to successfully synthesize forsterite ceramics.
Inamori resigns from Shofu Industries Company after a disagreement about the company’s technology development policy.
Inamori decides to create a new company with support from former supervisor Masaji Aoyama, and Aoyama's friends, Ichie Nishieda and Tamotsu Majikawa.
Inamori marries his colleague from Shofu Industries Company, Asako Sunaga.
Inamori founds Kyoto Ceramic Co., Ltd. and takes on the role of Director of Technology.
