With the support shown by the Malaysian government to drive broadband adoption and usage for Internet access, high speed mobile and wireless broadband products have been gaining increasing popularity and prominence of late. The industry is expected to experience explosive growth over the next three to five years. Four companies were awarded Wimax licenses recently by Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC), and have yet to launch their wireless broadband offerings.
