Extreme Environmental Resistance

Conventional organic photoconductors (OPC) cannot operate in extreme environments. They are prone to deterioration at temperatures around 60°C, and are very sensitive to damage caused by oils and solvents. In contrast, the a-Si drum maintains its operating characteristics even after storage at temperatures of 200°C. Additionally, the a-Si drum suffers no deterioration from solvents, which makes it the optimal choice for use in liquid-toner printers.
