| Symmetrical
viewing area |

| By installing the LCDs circuit board on the back of the module the glass can
be mounted in a symmetrical frame. Moreover, by improving driver IC mounting methods,
the entire frame is reduced in size by approx. 15% |
| Single
power source |
|
| Conventional LCDs require a logic power source and an LCD driving power source.
By incorporating a DC-DC converter into the rear circuit board, the V-12 Series
requires a single logic power source for operation, and the user can select either
3.3V or 5.0V. |
| Picture
quality |
|
| Improvements in the performance of Kyocera’s color filter and optical
design technology optimize the elements that comprise the liquid crystal display
module. The resultant enhance picture is vivid and easy to see. |
| Long
backlight life |
|
| The lifetime of the cold cathode tube (CFL) in the transmissive LCD hits 50,000
hours or more, which is about 25% increase over the conventional CFL’s lifetime.
(Kyocera’s definition of CFL’s lifetime : 50% reduction in initial
