Kyocera Donates for Victims and Regions of Earthquake in China
May 19, 2008

The Kyocera Group has decided to donate 3 million yuan (approx. 45 million yen) to aid the victims and regions of the recent Szechuan Earthquake in China.
Employees of Kyocera Group companies in China have already begun collecting donations within China in response to the need for local emergency relief. These donations, together with 300,000 yuan (approx. 4.5 million yen) of the above 3 million yuan, will be sent as the initial aid.

At the same time, we will begin calling on Kyocera Corporation and its Group companies starting today to collect donations from employees, in the hope that people affected by this tragedy will be able to return their lives to some normalcy.

We plan to send this corporate relief aid from Kyocera Group and donations from Kyocera employees through organizations such as the Japan Red Cross for use as aid in those regions affected by the earthquake.

We would like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt condolences to the people of the region and sincere best wishes for a speedy recovery.
