KYOCERA Group Companies Support Tsunami Relief Efforts (Follow-Up)

KYOTO, JAPAN - February 3, 2005 - Kyocera Corporation, the headquarters and parent of the global Kyocera Group, today announced additional employee contributions made by approximately 25,000 employees worldwide to assist tsunami survivors.

The Kyocera Group has already pledged a donation of 50 million yen (approximately US$485,000) made toward relief efforts for the tsunami damage caused by the earthquake that occurred in the offshore region of Sumatra, Indonesia, at the end of last year, on behalf of Kyocera, Kyocera Mita, Kyocera Communication Systems, Kyocera Kinseki, Kyocera Elco, Kyocera Chemical, Kyocera Leasing, Kyocera SLC Technologies, AVX, Kyocera Asia Pacific, Kyocera Indonesia, Shanghai Kyocera Electronics and the Kyocera International group of companies.

In addition to the above-mentioned contribution of 50 million yen, the Kyocera Group employees raised approximately 20 million yen (approximately US$194,200) globally. The donations made by each group company to organizations such as the Red Cross International Response Fund will total 70 million yen (approximately US$679,200).
