| On June 11–12, 2010, the Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Philosophy Convention, organized by Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Consultants, Ltd., was held at the BeijingInternationalConvention Center. Approximately 1,200 people gathered in order to learn Dr. Inamori’s management philosophy.
Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Consultants, Ltd. was established to contribute to the development of Chinese enterprises based on Inamori’s management philosophy. Inamori held three lectures in China last year (June 9–10, 2009 at Tsinghua University and Peking University; November 12, 2009 at “The Seminar on Management: A Gathering of Officials, Entrepreneurs & Scholars”), and many entrepreneurs expressed their desire to learn Inamori’s management philosophy more deeply. This led to the creation of Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Consultants, Ltd.
On the first day of the convention, management leaders from China and Japan gave lectures, and researchers and entrepreneurs held panel discussions. A beautiful opening ceremony, sponsored by Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Consultants, Ltd., was held afterwards.
On the second day, after management leaders from China and Japan gave their lectures, Inamori gave a lecture entitled “Why do we need philosophy in management?” In the lecture, he said that “Management philosophy is the standard for a company’s management, objectives and purpose. If we define a company’s personality as the company’s ‘character,’ management philosophy will give the company a wonderful character.” He also stated that spreading management philosophy based on the principle of “doing the right thing as a human being” will lead to the further development of the Chinese economy.
In the future, Kazuo Inamori Management Research Centers will be established in many areas in China. Organized by Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Consultants, Ltd., the centers will promote the study and exchange of ideas regarding Inamori’s management philosophy. Furthermore, the 2nd Kazuo Inamori Beijing Management Philosophy Convention is scheduled to be held in Tsingtao this October.
