| On November 2, 2009, Inamori gave a lecture titled “Overcome Economic Changes and Continue Growing” at the 18th The Seminar on Management: A Gathering of Officials, Entrepreneurs & Scholars, which was sponsored by Chinese business magazine publisher, Sino-Foreign Management.
The Seminar on Management: A Gathering of Officials, Entrepreneurs & Scholars — a three-day event held annually in the fall — is a networking seminar for prominent foreign and domestic business executives, government officials, and researchers where they can exchange ideas and discuss the topics on which businesses need to focus.
This year two prominent speakers gave presentations on the last day of the seminar: Mr. Zhang Ruimin, CEO of Haier Group, who is currently receiving attention as business man of the year in China; and Kazuo Inamori.
In the lecture, Inamori explained Japan’s post-war economic and industrial history, and emphasized the importance of building a solid and highly profitable management structure, as well as increasing equity capital in order for businesses to keep growing. Moreover, he spoke of another important factor in business management: the belief in making employees, customers, business partners, and others in respective communities happy.
Approximately 900 people took notes and listened attentively to Inamori’s lecture. |
