On Sep. 1-2, 2009, the 17th Seiwajyuku National Convention was held at Pacifico Yokohama. This national convention is held every year so that students from around the world can deepen their friendships by studying together while increasing their understanding of business management philosophy. Approximately 2,800 people attended the convention, including 135 people from the United States, China and Brazil.
During the convention, eight students were chosen to present their management experiences and Inamori commented on each presentation. At the end of the convention, Inamori gave a lecture entitled “What Is Required for Today’s Management.” He said that while management is being put to the test by a worldwide economic crisis, managers should not act according to their own desires, but emphasized the importance of management based on an altruistic mind to harmonize with all stakeholders who support the company. |
