| The first International Congress on Ceramics, hosted jointly
by the ceramics associations of Japan, the United States and Europe, was held in Toronto,
Canada, from June 25-29, 2006. The objective of the International Congress on
Ceramics is to provide a road map for the future of the ceramics industry. Kazuo
Inamori presented the keynote speech on June 25. Using a slide presentation, he introduced typical examples
of Kyocera's R&D efforts. He also commented that it is
very important for researchers and engineers to keep the desire to "contribute
to the betterment of society and humankind" in their hearts in order to conduct
excellent research. |
