The Principle of Double-Check

The "Double-Check Principle" involves having multiple individuals process and confirm all receivables and payables.

While this principle is effective for catching and preventing errors, another purpose for rigorously adhering to it is to cultivate a workplace that values people. Humans have an inherent frailty where they might inadvertently commit errors. This principle, rooted in an understanding of human weakness, creates a system to shield employees from mistakes and prevent wrongdoing. Underlying this principle is the compassionate and caring heart of the managers who adhere to it.
