 Support for Kyoto Sanga F.C.
In response to requests by local residents to create a professional soccer team in Kyoto, Kyocera supported the establishment of the Kyoto Purple Sanga (now Kyoto Sanga F.C.) in 1994. In agreement with the vision of the J-League's fs 100-Year Project, through which professional soccer teams strive to become community-based organizations, the Kyocera Group believes that supporting community activities is the responsibility of local companies. Kyocera, along with municipal governments and other prominent companies, strongly support the Kyoto Sanga F.C.

Support for Promotion of Youth Soccer
Along with community sports promotion, Kyocera supports soccer as a way for youth to cultivate healthy minds and bodies. Kyocera supports the Sanga Cup Kyoto Youth Soccer Tournament, in which children from Kyoto Prefecture participate. Also, in places such as Kyoto and Kagoshima, Kyocera holds soccer classes led by Kyoto Sanga F.C. professional coaches. Photo:Support for Promotion of Youth Soccer

Support for National Wheelchair Ekiden Road Relay
The National Wheelchair Ekiden Road Relay is held in Kyoto every year to encourage people with disabilities to excel in sports and society, enhancing understanding and recognition of people with physical challenges.  Supporting the Pink Ribbon Movement
Kyocera concurs with the aim of the Pink Ribbon movement to promote early detection and diagnosis of breast cancer. In 2008, Kyocera began selling pink-colored fine ceramic kitchen ware. Part of the profit from these goods is donated to the Japan Fund for Breast Cancer, run by the Japan Cancer Society. Similar donation activities are being undertaken in North America and Australia.  Support for the Olympic Training Center in California
In 1995, as a part of our community support efforts, Kyocera contributed to the establishment of the U.S. Olympic Training Center in San Diego, the home of Kyocera's first U.S. manufacturing facility. The center's four grass fields form the Kyocera Soccer Complex, used by local residents as well as olympians in training.
