Kyocera judged that it is necessary to reduce environmental impacts such as parts of products and material procurement of resource materials to promote the reduction of environment impacts relating to products more in 1998. The approaches of "Green Procurement" that select and procure environmentally friendly items were started since August 1998.
The way of thinking about the Green Procurement and a request matter with the enforcement of Green Procurement was completed as "Kyocera Green Procurement Guideline," and the activity has been promoted with the understanding and cooperation of the customer since December 1998.
Nowadays, environmental regulations and social requirement are getting strong in EU, the second edition was published in July 2004, and investigation and evaluation concerning the environmental load have been conducted. This time, the 6th edition is published for obey the latest legal regulation. The investigation and evaluation about environmental load of suppliers and purchased items is conducted based on this standard, and the green procurement is promoted more. |
