 Environmental Assessment in Product Development

Kyocera has established and operates an internal system and certification program for supplying top-class, environmentally friendly products with a focus on environmental consciousness that begins at the R&D stage.

The Kyocera Group strives for all of its products to be "Kyocera Global Environmentally Friendly Products." In FY2007, Kyocera launched and applied the "Environmental Consciousness Evaluation System" at all divisions and research groups in order to facilitate the manufacturing of environmentally friendly products.

 Green Procurement

To deal with the increasing global environmental problem, it is important that not only one’s own company, but also the entire supply chain including suppliers, take appropriate actions.

Kyocera established its Green Procurement Standard in 1998 to purchase products and services with low environmental impact from suppliers; thus positively promoting environmental preservation activities. In this way, we are actively promoting green procurement activities.
