"Green Curtains"
The Kyocera Group has implemented the ecological practice of planting “Green Curtains,” which utilize morning glory vines and other plants to shade windows at manufacturing locations and offices in Japan and overseas. These Green Curtains absorb CO2 through photosynthesis while shading windows from direct sunlight, thus conserving energy by reducing the load on air conditioning. |

"Eco-Lessons"
Kyocera conducts “Eco-Lessons” at many elementary schools to raise awareness of issues relating to energy and the environment. This effort allows children — tomorrow’s leaders — to develop an eco-friendly perspective in the course of their education. Kyocera Group employees receive special training as lecturers to visit schools and provide an enjoyable learning experience. The company has developed experiment kits and toys utilizing solar cells for use as instructional materials.
